Position Summary

As a Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales Consultant, you will manage all aspects of the sales cycle, from greeting customers and identifying their needs to negotiating deals and completing paperwork. Your product knowledge, communication skills, and professionalism will help drive sales and contribute to our dealership's ongoing success.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers on the sales floor and conduct needs analysis including desired make, type, and features.
• Explain vehicle features and demonstrate operation in the showroom or during test drives.
• Research vehicle availability and optional equipment using the dealership's computer database.
• Collaborate with Sales and Finance & Insurance Managers to negotiate sales prices, financing or lease payments, including tax, trade-in allowance, license fees, and discounts.
• Inspect inventory on the lot regularly to maintain product knowledge.
• Complete all required sales paperwork and coordinate vehicle delivery and registration.
• Introduce customers to their new vehicles and provide thorough familiarization.
• Attend required training sessions and departmental meetings.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Work Hours

This is a full-time position. Specific work schedules will be provided upon hiring.

Required Qualifications

• At least one year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong sales skills, excellent communication, and outstanding customer service abilities.
• Highly organized with effective follow-up skills to maintain client relationships before and after sales.
• Current, valid driver's license is mandatory.
• Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to speak a second language is preferred.
