Position Overview

As a Transmission Technician at Fox Chevrolet, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicle transmissions to ensure customer satisfaction. Your work habits and ethics play a crucial role in delivering excellent service, and you will be expected to set personal goals and track your progress with support from the Service Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair tasks efficiently following dealership and factory standards
• Disassemble, diagnose, and repair vehicle transmissions accurately
• Clean and inspect all transmission parts thoroughly
• Provide labor and time estimates for additional repairs clearly
• Communicate mechanical diagnoses and repair needs in a simple, understandable way to service advisors and customers
• Continuously update technical knowledge through formal training sessions
• Inspect and test new vehicles, recording findings for necessary repairs

Working Hours

This is a full-time position with standard dealership operating hours. Specific shift details will be provided during the hiring process.

• Minimum of 3 years experience as a transmission technician
• Factory certification preferred
• Experience with warranty and non-warranty inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs across various vehicle makes and models
• Proven ability to meet or exceed performance goals
• Excellent communication skills
• Professional appearance and strong work ethic
• Positive attitude with a high level of energy
• Superior customer service skills
• Ability to read and understand technical instructions
• Good judgment and problem-solving skills
• Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record
